Evenement: åpentForum presents Ivan Galuzin

Ivan Galuzin is born in 1979 in Murmansk, USSR. He moved to Norway with his mother in 1991, just a few months before the total collapse of the Communsit Empire and has since suffered from abandonment guilt syndrom.
In 2006 he finished National Art Academy in Oslo with a Diploma and has exhibited in a number of institutional group shows, e.g. “Lights On” Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art 2008 Oslo and “SIA – spread isolated art” Kalmar Museum of Contemporary Art 2009 Kalmar. Ivan Galuzin has also curated a number of shows and has been the head of an artist run gallery Galuzin Gallery/TAFKAG from 2005 till 2007. He has recently received Ambrosius Egedius And Wife Award from The Norwegian Young Artists Society(UKS) and holds a workshop “The Ultimate Guide To Your Mind” at The Project School (Prosjektskolen).
At Åpent forum he will attempt to present new works as new strategies for investigations of models of influence – including use of subversive strategies and attempts of aesthetic practice through everyday experience. The breaking of boundaries for transgressive mediation as a nessessary tool and final goal for the latter former historiae of the applied and fine arts.

Åpent Forum er en serie med forelesninger, presentasjoner og samtaler med kunstnere initiert og arrangert av Kunstakademiet i Oslo.
