WELCOME TO IMPROFESTIVALEN 2012
- Improvisation in performing arts
From June 8th – 17th at Follo Folkehøgskole in Vestby, (30 min from Oslo) in Norway.
Improfestivalen 2012 is a venue for movers, dancers, actors, performance artists – students, professionals and others who are interested in developing their improvisational and compositional skills.
Invited international artists are Andrew Morrish (AUS), Rebecca Bryant & Don Nichols (USA) and Sally Doughty (UK). They will share their extensive knowledge in workshops, artist talks and performances.
June 8-10: Andrew Morrish
“Solo Performance Improvisation with movement and voice”
June 11-15: Rebecca Bryant & Don Nichols
“One at a time and all together: solo and ensemble improvisation”
June 16-17: Sally Doughty
“Spontaneous Decision Making”
The festival also offers a coaching project for advanced performers who wants to develop their skills in instant composition and improvisation as performing art. Rebecca Bryant will coach the project and it will culminate in a performance in the end of the week.
Follo Folkehøgskole is arranging the festival. The school has great studios and facilities and gives us the opportunity to sleep, dance, jam, hang out and share all our meals together.
