Nomaden is a club in the heart of Oslo with alot of soul and great atmosphere. DJs and live music thursday to saturday. You can expect music of all kinds from the top DJs around, but mostly funk, soul, jazz, dub, latin, disco, world, afrobeat, brokenbeat, hip hop and reggae.
Tonight the legendary Gil Scott Heron has a concert at Rockefeller, and this is a manditory event for all from jazz & soul enthusiasts to hiphoppers and poets. Gil Scott is an american poet, musician and author. He is well known for his late 1970s and early 1980s work as a spoken-word soul performer and his collaborative work with musician Brian Jackson. Many consider Gil to be the creator of rap, and with his politically concious lyrics he made a mark on 1970-80’s america. He just released a new record ” Im new here”, which got great reviews. After the concert we celebrate the jazz-poet Gil at Nomaden club, just around the corner from Rockefeller. DJ’s for this night is Morten Moxnes, Teddy Rosso, Tösch and Baz. If we are lucky the man himself will turn up in our humble basement.

DJ Pavel Plastikk is the main guy behind the super hot “Low” parties in Kiev in Ukraine once a month,.with dope guests from around the world such as Bill Brewster, Rune Lindbæk, Prins Thomas, Stevie Kotey from Chicken Lips, Strangefruit & Mungolian Jetset, Black Joy, and Ray Mang.

Funk, soul, jazz, latin, afrobeat stompers, raregrooves og det som eller høres tøft ut. Vi kommer tell å starte kl 22 presis så vi foreslår at du også kommer tidlig, det e da du virkelig får sjansen tell å høre sjeldne godsaker! og knaske i dæ gratis popcorn, som vanlig.. Vi sees!

Årets klubbkonsept (? avgjøres 6.feb…) i Bergen, Klubb Kannibal, besøker Oslo en gang i mnd. med et par tre gigger i samma slengen.
lørdag 30 jan: Strangefruit
Loooooord have mercy, Pål “Frutti Perculore” Nyhus is back at Nomaden! He is highly regarded as both a people`s DJ and a DJ’s DJ within the Norwegian community. Pål is also one half of the Smalltown Supersound duo Mungolian Jetset, and they are soon due with their anticipated new 12” ‘Moon Jocks’ wich is currently creating a buzz among international DJs. Expect disco mixed with future-techno meeting psychedelic rock and dub sounds licking the cosmic sky while interfering with the old and new sounds of house music.

Tonight Kent Horne is back in Nomaden with a celebration of all things dirty ranging from leftfield ass jazz shaking grooves to cool disco in all shapes and flavours. Ecclectic and warm. Just the way we like in the funky bunker.

The Doin’it Club is a concept wich have been up and about since the year 2000. The musical agenda is mainly funk, but also includes soul, jazz, afrobeat, latin, reggae, hip hop, disco and raregrooves. Musical chefs are DJs Tosh & Bazis, but the club has had alot of kool guests as well. Robin Jackson, Rune Lindbæk, Chris Rhythm Doctor, Teddy Rosso, Isaias, Marcos Boricua, Dom Servini, MEGA Bob, No’Fakin Crew, Snowboy, Kango, Stereo, Lindstrøm, DJ Dust and Kohib to mention a few. Alot of mixtapes has been put out on the streets over the years, they have been hosting a weekly radio show called Station w.e.f.u.n.k and pressed a 7” series called Free Sole. As they say in Mexico: ‘No one can take away from you what you have danced’.

Get ready for Kwassa Kwassa. A traveling club night dedicated to the best hips swinging music from the whole of the world with Guttorm ‘DJ 99’ Andreasen! He is the man behind the legendary NRK P2 multi-rythmic daytime program Wasabi, that we at Nomaden loved so much. He blends hiplife, bachatón, gnawa, balkan, kuduro and a whole lot of different genres in to hot dance floor action with a smile.

At Nomaden we are massive fan’s of the crazy looking Tromsdaling’s super ecclectic dj sets. We never know where he is heading, and he sometimes is too drunk to know where he is at, but damn, it’s allways a memorable party. One for the history books. Torske have just been to Berlin to master his new album for Smalltown … Supersound at the legendary Dubplates studio, so we might have sneak preview into his new sonic ventures. Darc Marc is a truly unique dj whether it’s playing rock, soul, fusion, funk, latin or calypso. When this cat is back (hurray!) at Nomaden the controls it all goes into a blending frenzy that makes it all sound natural together. He says that “If my body is a train with no breaks, my soul is the engine and my intellect …is the passenger. I will go until I crash, so let’s hope the rails go far!”. Well, on Nomaden’s new super dope sound system he can’t go wrong.

I kveld fylles kjelleren i Bernt Ankersgate med Undertonar fra Rune Lindbæk og venner. Flyt med i bølger av dubbet balearisk disko for glade festorienterte luringer. Lindbæk har jobbet med en bråte av forskjellige folk fra Idjut Boys til Lindstrøm, og er for tiden i studio med Anneli Drecker. Han har DJet ifra New York til Kiev, og fra Finnnmark til Barcelona. Ok, kjør romskip!
