120 HOURS PRIZE CEREMONY

120 HOURS is a conceptual competition for students spread out over five days. The competition’s main objective is to create a platform for future talents to establish themselves in the architectural community.

120 HOURS objective is to increase social and political consciousness among students by creating a task that is very relevant in the current architectural debate.

120 HOURS has this year discussed sustainability and spectacle, in collaboration with the music festival Øya, which this August takes place in Tøyenparken. The assignment is a meeting point and festival beacon at the festival, with the potential of realization this summer. The level is sky high and the competition is bigger and more important than ever. And the winners of 120 HOURS 2014 will be announced at Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo on Saturday the 8th of March! It will be a night full of joy and celebration, along with discussions around the winners and the results of the competition.

In anticipation of the award ceremony, the evening starts off with a debate. The panel is made out of Gary Bates, partner of Space Group, Johanne Borthne, partner of Superunion Architects, Joakim Skajaa, partner of Eriksen Skajaa arkitekter and Hans Martin F. Halleraker, founding director of 120 HOURS.

After announcing the jury’s decision, the winners will be awarded, honorables will be mentioned, and the festivity will continue in the bar and on the floor. DJs of the night are Julie Forchhammer and the notorious Erlend Mokkelbost.
