EXCHANGE España – Norge is a performance exchange project between Spain and Norway. The spanish artists will be in Norway for 10 days. For 7 days the 8 artists will work together and develop performance works. The result of this working period will be presented to an audience on Saturday April 5th. After the presentation we invite the audience to a discussion with the artists. Both the working process and the presentation will be at Atelier Nord ANX.

The main goal of the exchange is to enrich both the artists of the project, the audience and the society they are part of.
The project brings together south and north of Europe, builds a bridge between two countries, which have big cultural and economic differences. This exchange gives a possibility of understanding and an approach between cultures, based on the reflection of artistic creation.

How can social, political and cultural difference affect artistic collaboration? How will this affect the artists and their work? What about diversity in work method? Will language and different backgrounds be a disability?

EXCHANGE España – Norge er et utvekslingsprosjekt mellom Spania og Norge innen performancekunst. De spanske kunstnere kommer til Norge – Oslo, og vil være her i 10 dager. I 7 av de 10 dagene kommer 8 kunstnere til å arbeide sammen for å utveksle og utvikle performancearbeider. Resultatet av samarbeidet vil bli vist for publikum lørdag 05. April. Etter visningene inviteres publikum til samtale og diskusjon med kunstnerne. Arbeidsperioden og visning vil være på Atelier Nord ANX.

Målet med utvekslingen er å skape en møteplass for utveksling både for kunstnerne i prosjektet, publikum og hvert lokale samfunn. Prosjektet bringer sammen sør og nord i Europa og bygger en bro mellom to land med store kulturelle og økonomiske forskjeller. Det at kunstnere beveger seg over landegrensene, er svært viktig for det kulturelle mangfoldet og dialogen mellom ulike kulturer.

Problemstillinger: Hvordan vil sosiale, politiske og kulturelle forskjeller påvirke samarbeidet? Hvordan påvirker dette de ulike kunstnerne, og deres verk? Hvilke ulike arbeidsmetoder kommer til syne? Er språk og ulike referanser et handikap?
