GRETA COTTAGE WORKSHOP (uk):
Residing on the coast adjacent to rustic landscapes, away from the cities and clear of what is deemed the ‘relevant’ nightlife and music scene you will find Greta Cottage Workshop. The label, the radio show… the shambles that is Onlyz & Wink Lez.

More attuned to the rural dwellings of South West England, their existence seeps into their influence and musical indifference. Expect erratic selections and off the wall blends that just seem to fit. There’s no claiming to be anything special unless a bit mentally unhinged, playing heartfelt, deeply dug songs in spontaneous instantaneous ways that require repeat plays.

Fate dictates that they will always end up playing records together after countless attempts to avoid each other. As folk often point out, they have a knack of playing the right thing at the right time. (Obviously more by luck than judgement as they couldn’t forward plan anything. Well, chips and a pint on thursday week maybe)

Expect dusty deep house and rumbling grumbles of techno and purist oddities when playing out and about. No slaves to BPM counters, and vinyl only – unless you count the odd CD-R of fresh GCW family treats.

WASSERFALL (no)
Musikkprodusenten Wasserfall har bodd i Berlin i flere år, men er nå lokalisert i Bremen. Wasserfall spiller og produserer organisk dreven house, med utstrakt men subtil bruk av felt-opptak. I oktober ga han ut “travelling while sleeping” på Greta Cottage Workshop. Ep’en har allerede fått support fra bla. dj nature, soul clap og stacey pullen. Wasserfall har gitt ut 4 EP´er på GCW så langt siden den første utgivelsen i 2010.

Wasserfall is probably one of the most modest characters in the Oslo house scene. Locally he keeps mostly to himself, but he has found an audience outside the country through his releases on tastemaking English deep label Greta Cottage Workshop, where his subtle field recordings provide templates for lush grooves. And with support from James Holden and Soul Clap the future looks bright for this young man.
