SEWN LEATHER OFFICIAL BIO 2014

Born in 1987 in New Orleans.
Second cousin of Philip Anselmo from Pantera.
Started fuckin around with noisy stuff after seeing Nautical Almanac in 2002, started Sewn Leather in december 2006 after getting really into DAF/The Normal/Fad Gadget. Released music on various formats on various labels, such as Hundebiss, Friends and Relatives, American Tapes, Night People, etc.

Constantly touring since 2007, share the stage/floor many times with various other artists and bands such as Dj Dog Dick, Narwhalz of Sound, Laser Poodle, Dracula Lewis, Secret Abuse, Earth Crown, Hoax and more.

Sewn Leather became Skull Katalog in late 2013.

Upcoming european tour with Dracula Lewis will be the last tour as Sewn Leather.

New LP “Freak on Hashish” will be out on Hundebiss Records right before the European Tour.

DRACULA LEWIS OFFICIAL BIO 2014

Born in 1982 in Vernasca.
Dracula Lewis has been known to call his music “folk”.
Of course you have to consider punk, hardcore, gangsta rap and industrial as modern folk genres. This is also the reason why his equipment is very cheap. Dracula Lewis grew up reading metal magazines, skateboarding and playing football in a small town in the mountains. He started his musical journey playing in different crust & punk bands. His music draws on influences ranging from early dub studio techniques, Throbbing Gristle, Suicide, Wolf Eyes, Lee Perry, Harry Smith, Royal Trux and early 80’s hardcore-punk.

By 2007 Dracula Lewis had his hands full, funding his own label Hundebiss.
An excellent vinyl label, turning exquisitely crafted limited origami-packaged records featuring the music of such talents as Hair Police, James Ferraro, Aaron Dilloway, Hype Williams, Sewn Leather, Jaws, and more.

2008 saw the birth of Dracula Lewis as we know him today, and by 2010 he found himself living and working out of a Milan squat, where he set up an illegal club, Hundebiss Secret Place, running secret gigs there non-stop for two years.
Dracula Lewis released tapes, 7"s and a split Lp with Ducktails on the legendary No Fun Poductions, he has toured both US and Europe playing with Hundebiss signings JAWS and Sewn Leather, hitting the festival circuit, shitty bars, stinky squats, restaurants and even a planetarium.
In November 2012 he joined The Soft Moon on their European tour.

As Fact put it, Dracula Lewis makes expansive, pseudo-horrorflick music that oscillates between ethereal ambience and grinding, zombie-attack noise freakouts.
Whatever the words used to describe Dracula Lewis, there’s a dark magic and hypnotic allure to the distorted electronics, samples, chants & loops. And it’s this magic that has earned him the accolade of being Souterrain Transmissions’ first European signing.

2014 will bring his second full LP and a mixtape with instrumentals by Monopoly Child Searchers, Stargate, Primitive Art, Elg, Helm, HeNry UND HazEL SLAUGHTERIOUS (John Olson from Wolf Eyes), Heat Wave (Alex from Sun Araw), Cannibal Movie, etc. in spring of 2014.
