About The Big Review
.
Blank Space is honored to celebrate their one year anniversary in Oslo, and will celebrate the only way it knows how – with art. As summer is infamous for its slow activity in Oslo, Blank Space counters that with a show that is packed full of visual stimulation for audiences of all levels and interests. They will be holding a very unique show, highlighting each of the 10 exhibitions since their inception in May 2013 on a separate wall in the gallery space located in the up-and-coming district of Kværnerbyen. This show promises a wonderful overview of the hard work Blank Space has done to advance the caliber of art Oslo has access to, to reopen the doors of art to all audiences and not just those with money or esteem, and to redefine what audiences consider art by representing under-appreciated art forms such as illustration, visual storytelling, street art, comics / graphic novels, animation, special effects / concept / production design, and more. The show is a great time to come and see what you’ve missed, as well as get exclusive tips as to what 2015 has in store…

About blankspace
.
Blank Space is an artist run facility that strives to fill the gaps present in the art world today, from artist to buyer as well as artwork to audience. They strive to open back up the transference of ideas from outsiders and strike down the exclusivity of art. While currently functioning primarily as a gallery that focuses on contemporary applications of traditional skills, they also offer workshops and classes to anyone, beginner or master, wanting to understand the craft better. In the future, they hope to expand to offer a full printing / painting studio to the public, as well as offer full-time courses in various fields of art. They will host discussions, lectures, and special exhibits from special artists across the world.
.
They are located 5 minutes from Oslo S by bus, in the up and coming district of Kværnerbyen.
