Neil Doshi: Connections
tirsdag 24. mars 2015 kl. 12:00 på Arkitektur og -designhøgskolen i Oslo (AHO)
Camouflaged amongst the boulders and rolling hills of the high desert east of Los Angeles sits Connections, an experimental building project and design studio initiated in 2012. Facilitated by a Creative Capital artists’ grant, the project was conceived as the first in an ambitious five-phase plan that would have seen the studio reconstituted each year in a different location, encountering new material and logistical constraints aimed at probing the limits of contemporary design practice.
Neil Doshi (US) is a designer based in Joshua Tree, California. Doshi holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. His ongoing site-work project “Connections” received a creative Capital Award. He has taught design at OTIS College of Art, lectured at the Art Institute of Chicago, and was amongst the first designers in residence at the Montalvo Arts Center.
