Global Financial Governance after the Crisis: a radical view

Robert Wade is Professor of political economy at the London School of Economics and has for many years studied global economic governance (including World Bank, IMF, WTO, G20), against the backdrop of debates about “globalization” and “neoliberalism”.

Papers in recent years have concerned the 2008 Atlantic debt crisis and subsequent Great Recession, and international financial regulation. E.g.
Lessons from Iceland (with Silla Sigurgeirsdottir, New Left Review)
“The governance response to the Great Recession: the ‘success’ of the G20” (with Jakob VestergaardJournal of Economic Issues) and
The Piketty phenomenon and the future of inequality (PDF file, Real-world Economics Review).

Wade will present a radical analysis of the governance challenge and what is to be done about it.

Economy Editor Ola Storeng from Aftenposten will discuss some of the topics with Robert Wade.
