Velkommen til låtkurs med Fiona Black!!!
Fiona Black er en fantastisk trekkspiller fra Skottland. Hun er et av medlemmene i bandet The Outside Track som spilte en fantastisk sesongavslutningskonsert hos oss i vår :D Sammen med vår egen Hilde Fjerdingøy skal hun være oppvarmingsband på Folk på Torsdag: APRIL VERCH! samme kveld.
Før konserten kommer hun til å lære ut låter til alle som er interessert. Med bakgrunn fra både irsk og skotsk musikk er hun fleksibel ang. type låter og vil følge det deltakerene er interessert i. Etter konserten er det åpent for jam så man kan teste ut de nye låtene med en gang! :)

From the Highland village of Evanton, Fiona Black developed a love of music and dance from a young age. The feisean movement provided her the opportunity to nurture her passion through learning to play the piano accordion. Fiona went on to attend the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music and later the University of Limerick: where she completed a BA with Honours in Irish Music and Dance. During this time she became a founding member of The Outside Track, a band which combine Scottish, Irish and Cape Breton traditional music and songs. The Outside Track are winners of ‘Best Group’ category in both the Live Ireland and ‘Tradition In Review’ awards and also won the German Radio Critics’ Prize for the album ‘Flash Company’ and currently tour extensively throughout Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
Fiona also has begun working on several other collaboration projects including French /Irish/Scottish fusion band Voyage de Nuit and duo with Scottish Borders singer and fiddler Lori Watson. She has also recently began working on touring as a solo performer.
Teaching Workshop:
Teach a range of repertoire from Scotland, Ireland and Cape Breton. Both old traditional tunes and modern newly composed tunes.
