Allo Darlin' og The Essex Green konsert i Moss, 1. juli

House of Foundation in Moss is proud to welcome two fantastic indiepop bands to our little rock city.

Formed in Brooklyn in 1998, The Essex Green released four albums between 1999 and 2006. They became one of the first bands from the Northeast to be associated with the groundbreaking Elefant 6 Collective (Neutral Milk Hotel, Apples in Stereo, Of Montreal). Their unique blend of harmony infused pop music culminated in the release in 2006 of ‘Cannibal Sea’ on the legendary Merge Records. They are hitting the stage this summer for the first time since 2007 and we are delighted to welcome them to Moss and House of Foundation.

Allo Darlin’ are an Australian/British indie pop group, formed in London in 2009. They have released three albums on the classic indie pop labels Fortuna Pop and Slumberland. Their 2012 album Europe was highly placed in many of that year’s end of year polls, including Rough Trade and Rolling Stone. Much to everyone’s surprise it was also Rough Trade’s best selling album of that year. Pitchfork describes them as “The best new group in recent years from a pop tradition that attempts to counter what its members might perceive as the market-corroded fantasy of corporate pop and the detached insularity of many underground records." They play only select concerts these days, with their most recent being a headline show at the New York City Popfest in May.
