Red Cross Codeathon 2.0

[Bilde]

This marathon coding event will bring together volunteer technologists to develop a free and open source Red Cross CBS system version 2.0.

What? Community based surveillance (CBS) allows communities, volunteers and the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement to identify, alert and respond to emerging public health crisis before they spin out of control and cause excess death and illness.
Since September 2017 a wonderful group of developers, researchers, Red Cross staff and volunteers have been working on building CBS 2.0 for the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

During the 3 day code-a-thon we will continue building CBS v2.0 and prepare it for field testing.

Why? Become part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation, contribute with your skills and knowledge, inspire and get inspired, learn from others, spend the weekend having fun and coding for good, because #informationsaveslives

Who? You! We need frontend developers (Angular), backend developers, UI/UX and graphic designers. But really, everyone is welcome. If you have a skill you think is useful in the project, join! This is a perfect opportunity to play with new technology: We are building an event-based microservice app with dotnet core, angular, Docker and Kubernetes. Just make sure that you sign up to participate
