Ildfjell is an experimental rock duo from Oslo, Norway. Ildfjell is a paraphrase of volcano, meaning «mountain of fire». Their music is at times slow and smoldering like a flow of lava, explosive like an eruption of fire, serene like the natural boundaries of a mountain of fire. Everything you hear is improvised around a loosely defined structure.
