Serious music for playful pleasure, a beat almost sustained beyond polyrhythms and an arctic soul playing for warmer temperatures. This is IRONI, a concept from Charlotte Bendiks. Where the Tundra meets with the equator and primordial pulses find new forms of sensual physicality IRONI exists on its own terms. IRONI is earnest about music, but focussed on the floor and every session sees Bendiks invite a DJ from her expanding consortium to Jæger’s basement. Calling on friends from Tromsø, Berlin and Cómeme, DJs and producers that embody the spirit of IRONI, this residency is not what it appears to be. Charlotte invites Cómeme patriarch, Matias Aguayo to the basement for this edition.

A label owner, producer and DJ, Matias Aguayo is fleeting figure across multiple scenes, countries and sounds. As a producer his vocal-infused, rich and rhythmical work jumps between House, minimal and Latin flavours with a penchant for vibrancy and brilliant shades of colour. As a DJ he brings the music to life with a hereditary instinct for the dance floor and a kaleidoscopic view from the DJ booth. Although he’s worked closely with labels like Kompakt, in the last few years we’ve come to know the name Matias Aguayo as the head of Cómeme; a label that fuses the DJ and the producer in one consolidated effort with results that span the width and breadth of music.
