Frædag is Jæger’s touchstone to the outside world, an event hosted by G-Ha & Olanskii that brings some of the most significant figures in electronic club music to Oslo every week, and few are quite as distinguished as this week’s guest… DJ Sprinkles. In collaboration with Kunstnernes Hus, where DJ Sprinkles as the eponymous Terre Thaemlitz presents her new work “Deproduction”, G-Ha & Olanskii extend an invitation to a DJ icon for a set in the basement afterwards, with Ricky Late, Oskar Pask, Olefonken and Petter Celius in our lounge as R.L.O.O.C.

Terre Thaemlitz, she is an award winning multi-media producer, writer, public speaker, educator, audio remixer, DJ and owner of the Comatonse Recordings record label. Her work combines a critical look at identity politics – including gender, sexuality, class, linguistics, ethnicity and race – with an ongoing analysis of the socio-economics of commercial media production. He has released over 15 solo albums, as well as numerous 12-inch singles and video works through various aliases.

DJ Sprinkles is Terre Thaemlitz’ super-DJ alter ego, a defining force in electronic club music as a producer and as the honorific would suggest, a DJ. She has sold out shows instantly, and her sets are lauded by press and audiences alike. As DJ Sprinkles her accolades extend from Discogs’ most wanted to appearing in the top fifty dance music records of the last 25 years according to Groove Magazine for “Midtown 120 Blues”.

Her writings on music and culture have been published internationally in a number of books, academic journals and magazines. As a speaker and educator on issues of non-essentialist Transgenderism and Queerness, Thaemlitz has lectured and participated in panel discussions throughout Europe and Japan.
