MEMO (Mobilee, Bedrock, Yoshitoshi)

M.E.M.O. Borned in Málaga in 1980, he spent his childhood in Humilladero village. Between 10 and 14 years old, he learnt piano and he formed the band “Depende” where he sang and played the guitar. At the same time, he was influenced by groups such Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy, Prodigy and Chemical Brothers and styles like Acid, Jungle and the first breakbeats which were imported from UK to Costa del Sol. This is how started his addiction for vinyls.
Two years later, he was privileged in the technique of “scratching”. It was a very important period of time in Andalusia because of the boom of Breakbeat so M.E.M.O. became a reference in the scene of the movement. He starts playing in festivals with more than 20,000 people with the promoter "Satisfaxion”without even having fulfilled the adulthood.
In 2005, after working in most of the best clubs in the south of Spain and influenced by techno and minimal movement, he decided to move to Barcelona to investigate. Once there, he opened his own vinyl shop (Washing Machine Records) and in the following 7 years he played in the best clubs of the city: Moog, Catwalk, Felini, Zentraus … He also was resident for a while at Zen of City Hall each Sunday, at Sidecar on Thursdays and he played once a month at 54 (London).
In 2006 he debuted with his first live act in Space (Ibiza), at Ibiza Global Radio’s party. From there he started playing in more clubs of the island so finally he moved there for 5 years.

After 22 years of career, this avant-garde artist has played in many of the most important clubs of his country like Space (Ibiza), Privilege (Ibiza), Sankies (Ibiza), Moog and Kubik (Bcn), Industrial Copera (Granada) and many more… He has acted in countries such as Germany, UK, Norway, Netherlands, Russia, Croatia, Romania, Italy, USA, México, Dominican Republic… ; and at festivals such as Creamfields, Dreambeach, Espárrago Rock, Winter Music Conferene, ADE Festival, Sommerøya, Musikfest, Festivalia, Eurosounds, TribalNation, RocketFestivalSpain, BreakNation, FlashBack, Live Dance Festival, Ohm Festival…
Because of his origins in the world of turntablism, he has developed his skills and make his way of mixing vinyls with two or three decks an audiovisual show. He has shared line up with some of the most popular bands and djs in the world such as The Prodigy, Crystal Method, Orbital, Public Enemy, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills etc.
He has a few records out with labels such: 4line, Tip Tap, Lust, Amoeba… His E.P “Raices” was released through Indigo Raw and one of the tracks was charted and included in the compilation of Carl Cox “Revolution”; also a remix for Christian Schwarz under the label Debox-Music. In the last years he make two of his most important works :“All U Need”, a track in colaboration with Pig & Dan (Cocoon) for Deep Dish’s “Yoshitoshi Records”, and his last E.P “Vicking Princess” for John Digweed’s “Bedrock Records”.
This year, M.E.M.O. starts hard due to his new ep “Tai Tai” that opens the series for a new Mobilee Records season.
