There will be african food served from 22:00 until 02:00 by Injera Palace and the most exciting live performance you could imagine by Bafana Nhlapo!

Bafana Nilapo is a renowned African artist based in Oslo.
Among numerous impressive facts, it is most worthy to mention that he has performed at the Fifa World Cup Grand Opening Concert and major festivals such as Rio Loco/Toulouse France, Africa Festival/Germany, North Sea Jazz/Cape Town, Sauti Sa Busara/Zanzibar with my band Kwani Experience.

Bafana has also performed with famous musicians such as Busi Mhlongo, Mutabaruka, Madala Kunene, Pops Mohamed.
Him and his band were also nominated for Best Newcomer at the South African Music Awards.

This evening Bafana comes on stage at Smelteverket with his own infamously peculiar and unique percussion set up. He will be accompanied by Ibou Cissokho Sankung on the kora and Jobarteh on guitar.

About Injera Palace:
This small restaurant is run by the social entrepreneur Mestringsguiden who aim to empower refugees to becoming economically independent and socially included.

This small palace is run by true queens from Eritrea. The women cook their traditional meal, Injera and serves it with pride and love. Injera is a sowerdough “pancake” made from Teff which is a gluten free grain, originally grown in Ethiopia.
