The Rolling Classroom of Love and Resistance emerged from the workshops in November 2018 and March 2019 in the framework of the Karnevalet. What is political language, how can our demands be articulated in the times of neo-authoritarian turn? The speeches and acts, presented at the Carnival during the performance of the Rolling Classroom are written and performed by Amanda Fayant, Anita Hillestad, Eshraq Jah, Rena Raedle and Vladan Jeremic, costumes “Silly and Mad” by Tim Kliukoit and Joana Gelažytė. The Rolling Classroom questions the distinction between art/carneval and politics and re-articulates political and social demands of the past and present day.
Amanda’s “Response to Treaty 4 from the Thunderbird Women” and Pictographs are inspired by and a repsonse to Chief Paskwa’s pictograph of the treaty.
Eshraq Jah uses no words and shows more then Carnival knows.
A special unit represents the Nesodden land of the free, who are working with the meaning of Freedom (Maria Kartveit, Else Krogh Hansen, Christina Christensen og Anita Hillestad).

With the great support by Halvor Valle, builder of the Rolling Classroom Tribune!
