Meditation Retreat for Beginners: Shortcuts to Happiness

We can train ourselves to be happy. The key is to learn to identify those states of mind that produce unhappiness and tightness, such as anger and attachment and to replace them gradually with flexible, skillful, peaceful minds such as acceptance, confidence and love.

In this day retreat we will learn and experience meditations that give rise to inner peace and happiness that does not depend upon external conditions.

The Teacher
Gen Kelsang Dragpa is a Modern Kadampa Buddhist monk and the National Spiritual Director of the Nordic Region. He is the Principal Teacher at Nordic Kadampa Meditation Centre, Oslo.

He received ordination in 1993 from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and is one of his most senior disciples. Gen Dragpa has taught extensively in the Netherlands, UK, Belgium and France.

His teachings are very practical and easy to understand. They offer profound solutions to our everyday problems.
