How to Thrive in Stressful Situations
lørdag 23. november kl. 10:00 på Nordisk Kadampa Meditasjonssenter
We regularly find ourselves in situations at work or home that we find challenging and it can feel difficult to stay happy and calm in such environments.
Modern life seems to be increasingly demanding and living in a big city, even simple tasks like doing the groceries can become stressful! By applying Buddha’s teachings on training the mind we not only learn to keep a peaceful mind when faced with adversity but also come to thrive within it.
Just as a lotus is born from mud but unstained by it, so too our difficulties can be transformed into something we can learn to grow from. As Geshe Kelsang says: “If we respond to difficult external situations with a positive or peaceful mind, they will not be problems for us. We may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for the growth and development of our own happiness.” – How to Understand the Mind
