Fresh Faces - Exhibition at Blank Space

[Bilde]

Blank Space Presents: Fresh Faces

On Friday November 1st Blank Space opens its doors for some of the freshest artistic talents Oslo has to offer!

4 passionate designers are culminating their 3 month residency in a unbridled exhibition of inspiration and creativity, with brand new perspectives, styles, and passion that you definitely haven’t seen before.

This exhibition explores transformation, embracing change and growth, and cultivating confidence at an individual level. Each artist has taken this empowerment and created a series of new works based off their experience.

Opening is from 18-21 on Friday Nov 1, and every day 11-17 until Nov 17th 2019. Free to attend, no registration required. Children and dogs welcome.

•• •• About the artists: •• ••

•• Guro Elisabeth Skurdal Ødegård // www.guroskurdal.com/portfolio ••••

Guro Elisabeth Skurdal Ødegård is a Norwegian illustrator and artist.

Guro wants to give the audience a sense of calm based on details and repeating patterns. The overlapping between chaos and symmetry plays an important role in her illustrations and artwork.

•• Laura Valencia // www.instagram.com/inkplasma/ ••

Laura Valencia is both a biologist and an artist. She works with symbolism and figurative expression, exploring society and nature through drawings. She works with traditional techniques such as pen an ink, acrylics, and digital media such as pixel art and collage.

•• Jesper Jansen // tristdjevel.com ••

Jesper Jansen is a visual creative who explores the connection between image and sound. He works both independently and collaboratively, with his portfolio mostly consisting of animated music videos. Being intrigued by how different art forms can compliment and add to each other, Jesper often works with a goal to magnify the experience of the music using visual means.

In this exhibition Jesper will give you an insight into his animation process, as well as showcasing some of his works.

•• Matilde Wedzicha // www.instagram.com/matildew.art ••

Matilde Wedzicha works with the human body, often on the border between the figurative and the abstract, playing with the contradictions between tidy systems and floating chaos. Through her works, she tries to challenge and activate the viewer, and to create a relationship between subject and object.

Opening is from 18-21 on Friday Nov 1, and every day 11-17 until Nov 17th 2019. Free to attend, no registration required. Children and dogs welcome.
