Andrew Witt og kollega Tobias Nolte fra Gehry Technologies kommer til OAF torsdag 20. mai klokken 19.00.

Gehry Technologies (GT) is a professional consulting and software development company that focuses on the strategic application of advanced technology to make buildings better, faster, and more precisely. It currently works in the areas of process and construction automation, large-scale concurrent design, parametric control, and numerical optimization in the design and construction process. Tools like these are the basis for new approaches to challenging design problems, collaboration logistics, and construction planning. This presentation will demonstrate, through case studies of GT’s work, the potential of these technologies to integrate process, empower design, and ultimately transform the process of making buildings.

Andrew Witt is Director, Design Innovation at Gehry Technologies. He leads initiatives in the company around knowledge-based engineering, concurrent design, geometric methods, and numerical optimization. He is based in GT’s Paris office, and works with designers and builders on major projects for Jean Nouvel, Coop Himmelblau, UN Studio, and Gehry Partners, among others. He was trained as a mathematician and received an M.Arch with distinction from Harvard GSD.
