The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc is an exciting new trio featuring 3 top young fiddlers from Norway, Sweden and the Shetland Islands. they have combined their 3 distinctive styles to create a new diverse sound!
“The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc” are Anders Hall, Olav Luksegård Mjelva and Kevin Henderson who come from Sweden, Norway and the Shetland Islands respectively.
They are three of the top young fiddlers to emerge on their respective folk music scenes and are in high demand playing with various musical groups.
After first meeting through informal “sessions” they developed a deep admiration for each others playing and traditions and were inspired to collaborate with each other.
The result surpassed expectations.
They have combined the Swedish, Norwegian and Shetland styles and have produced a diverse and invigorating sound.
