ANE LAN - ANIMUS CENTRI

[Bilde]

The Performance PRINCIPUNIO will be presented at the opening, featuring: Rikke Lundgreen, Birgitte Fjeld Bjørsvik, Aurora E. Sandlilje & Ane Lan.

The exhibition is based on the theories of Jacob Böhme (1575-1624), a German mystic and Christian theosoph who was considered a heretic in his time, and who`s writings was publicly known only after his death. Böhmes version of christian mystisism was neither emphasizing religious ecstasy nor contemplation but rather focused on an inner revelation. The exhibition especially refers to Böhmes visions of God and Adams incorporated androgynous “body” as part of his conception of the laws of nature, the downfall from paradise and the question of evil. For Böhme “the evil” and the lost paradise is not separated from Gods creations but a necessity within Gods creation for God to be able to reflect upon himself. God gave men free will so that he/she could understand him/herself through mens realization of their humanity.

ANIMUS CENTRI explores the cosmological ideas of Böhme and the 7 life forces which are reflected in the human body through the planetarium system.
