‘Meditations to make our life happy and meaningful’

Start the New Year with a week of meditation and reflection designed to increase our inner peace, our good heart, our concentration and wisdom.

In this retreat, we will engage in the full cycle of ‘lamrim’ meditations explained in the New Meditation Handbook, in this way we can gain confidence to begin or deepen our own daily practice and learn valuable methods for maintaining a happy, peaceful mind no matter what life throws at us.

In each session, there will be a brief teaching and guided meditation. Between sessions people can relax and read or walk outside around Akerhus Festning or by the fjord.

Everyone is welcome to attend however many sessions they can. Newcomers will benefit as well and as each session is on a different topic, it is possible to attend a session at any point in the retreat.

Monday 2nd January – Friday 6th January
Session 1: 07:00-08:00
Session 2: 11:00-12:00
Session 3: 16:30-17:30
Session 4: 19:00-20:00

Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th January
Session 1: 09:00-10:00
Session 2: 11:00-12:00
Session 3: 16:30-17:30
Session 4: 19:00-20:00.

Please bring the following books, if you own them: Joyful Path of Good Fortune, The New Meditation Handbook, or Transform Your Life.

New students will have the opportunity to either purchase these books or borrow a library copy if it is available.

You are welcome to bring lunch or supper to the venue to eat between sessions. This retreat is non residential, it is possible to attend from home on a daily basis if you live nearby and if you need accommodation please contact us and we will try to help organise something suitable.
