Anna Talbot:
My work is inspired by fairy tales, children’s books, characters from Norwegian folklore and everyday life. I use symbols, colours and layers to create my own fairy tale, to create my own world. I make multilayered jewellery from anodised aluminium, silver, wood and gilding metal. I often use readymades as part of the piece. The pieces are big, but not heavy. They are made to be worn, but can just as easily be seen as wall pieces.
My work is like a stage, where animals, people and nature create a colourful fairy tale world.

Elise Hatlø:
In the project “Grandma sings the blues”, I picture a grandmother sitting in a rocking chair, crocheting while she sings sad old blues songs. In blues music, the so called ‘blue notes’ are important. I have directly translated this mood in to colours in my pieces.
I wish to convey the value of what previous generations have been dedicated to by using old patterns as a starting point for my own work.
