I forbindelse med Masterutstillingen 2012 inviterer avgangstudentene ved Masterstudiet i Billedkunst ved Kunstakademiet i Trondheim til konsert med Child of Klang og Mossworks.
Elin Øyen Vister som står bak Child of Klang er norsk lydkunstner, komponist og artist. Hun har studert lydteknikk, musikkteknologi og populærmusikkvitenskap i Norge og England. Nå tar hun en master på Kunstakademiet i Trondheim hvor hun følger det skandinaviske studieprogrammet Nordic Sound Art. Hun er også kjent under artistnavnet DJ Sunshine.
Elin Øyen Vister jobber med fieldrecordings, komponering av elektroakustisk og eksperimentell elektronisk musikk, lydskulpturer og live improvisasjon. Hun utforsker det akustisk økologiske perspektivet fra en lydkunstners ståsted, og er opptatt av hvordan naturlige lydmiljøer forandres, som et resultat av endringer i naturen og samfunnet. En dyp fascinasjon av bioakustikken ligger også til grunn for hennes fieldrecording entusiasme.

Mossworks er for kvelden Joakim Blattmann Moldestad (lyd) og Andreas Schille (video). Begge er studenter ved Masterstudiet i Billedkunst ved Kunstakademiet i Trondheim, NTNU.
Sommeren 2011 gjorde Moldestad komposisjoner og opptak i en leilighet i Berlin. Resultatet av dette arbeidet slippes i mai 2012 som 7-tommeren Zelter Straße på Oslo-selskapet How is Annie Records.
Mossworks lydlige del foregår instrumentalt, ofte med samples dykkende ut og inn av lydbildet. En lo-fi estetikk preger utrykket, og akustiske instrumenter, fieldrecordings og drone elementer er tilbakevennende temaer. Det nikkes tidvis og mot gamle post-rock helter. Schilles video bestående av 16mm-filmklipp behandlet med fargetusjer, opptak av ulike naturlandskaper fysisk manipulert med tusj, nål, sandpapir og white sprit utgjør live-sekvensene.

In connection with the exhibition the master students at the Art Academy of Trondheim invite to a concert with Child of Klang and Mossworks.
Elin Øyen Vister is the Norwegian sound artist, composer and artiste behind Child of Klang. She has studied sound technique, music technology and popular music science in Norway and England. She is now taking a master’s degree at the Art Academy of Trondheim where she follows the Scandinavian study program Nordic Sound Art. She is also known by the artiste name of DJ Sunshine.
Elin Øyen Vister works with field recordings, the composing of electro-acoustic and experimental electronic music, sound sculptures, and live improvisation. She studies the acoustic ecological perspective from the sound artist’s point of view, and she is concerned with how natural sound environments are altered as a result of changes in nature and in society. Mossworks for the evening are Joakim Blattmann Moldestad (sound) and Andreas Schille (video). Both are students at the Master studies in Visual Arts at the Art Academy of Trondheim, NTNU.
During the summer of 2011 Moldestad composed and made recordings in an apartment in Berlin. The result of this work will be released in May 2012 as the 7-inch “Zelter Straße” on the Oslo label How is Annie Records.
The sound part of Mossworks is produced by aid of instruments, often with added samples that appear and disappear. The expression is characterized by a low-fi aesthetics; acoustic instruments, field recordings and drone elements are recurrent themes. From time to time homage is paid to ancient post-rock heroes. Schille’s video, which consists of 16mm film cuts prepared with colour pens, film shots of various natural landscapes manipulated by means of pens, a needle, sandpaper and white spirit, make up the live sequences.
