Silje-Marie Salhus: Falling Into Shape
lørdag 1. november 2014 kl. 13:00 på Kampen visningsrom og ett annet tidspunkt
The exhibition "Falling Into Shape" includes video installation, mixed media sculpture and
2D works All investigating the concepts of transformation, perception and the act of
constructing.
In her artist practice, Salhus adresses the human tendency of conveying content through
constructing set formal languages, and she questions the reality of communal perception.
Her work often depicts spaces in between states, both through physicality and the visual
use of formal elements, as well as the use of imagery and literal references.
Silje-Marie Salhus (born 1984) is an artist based in Vancouver, Canada and Oslo,
Norway. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design
in 2010. "Falling Into Shape" is her first solo exhibition in Norway.
