Demon’s Mouth is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Alan Butler entitled ‘Limited Hangout’. This exhibition explores the connectedness of contemporary society as well as the history of complex social networks. Using images and videos sourced from the internet Butler makes visible the often hidden modulating social boundaries that define our concepts of the collective and the self. Butler’s most recent work, ‘P.R.-ism’ (2013), consists of a site specific vinyl adhesive wall pattern based on the NSA’s logo for ‘Prism’ the internet monitoring software. The exhibition will be open to the public from the 6th to the 15th of December, 2013.
