Life’s seemingly endless stream of uneventfulness and boredom can be transcended and distilled, maybe even improved upon, through the photographic medium, capturing something that might not even be there, or only for a blink of an eye. This single moment captured can be a window to another, parallel, world. These images have their own life and their own story to tell. They might even tell you to enjoy and be aware of these subtle nuances,at all times present and surrounding you. Put together they tell yet another story. Indulgence, intoxication and sleepless nights. Lighthearted, wandering snapshots blends in with abstract meditative imagery.
Early mornings and late night adventures juxtaposed with the peace of nature. Random meetings, malls, work and vacation, strangers and family, all go hand in hand, in this celebration of everyday life and its inherent randomness, transforming it into a kaleidoscopic, hyperrealistic reality.

µ[mju:]-II is an exhibition based around the analog snapshot photo. What defines a moment? With this starting point Mats Fagerberg, Thomas Furu and Kjetil Tangencollected a selection of snapshots, seeking to show the spontaneous and unpredictable nature captured in a single moment. The result is an exhibition of strong similarities with visual and thematic coherence throughout, but, because each artist’s own definition of the moment, also shows the distinct flavor of all three participants. The entire exhibition is shot on analog point-n-shoot equipment.

Thomas Furu studies photography at Camberwell College of Arts, has participated in group shows in London and Barcelona and has been published in Natt&Dag and Smug magazines. He has also been part of curating and organizing Video:Video at PAMI (Peckham Artist Moving Image).
Mats Fagerberg studied at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts, has been been shown at Høstutstillingen, and Helsinki Kunst Halle, and participated in group shows in Oslo and Helsinki. He has also been part of organizing and curating Lens Politica Film & Media Art Festival in Helsinki.
Kjetil Tangen studied at Einar Granum kustfagskole and works with visual arts and sound. He has earlier had exhibitions at Sound of Mu with Andreas Barsleth, been in a group show in gallery Horizon in Copenhagen, and screened the short film “Tropical Meditation” at Dreamscapes in Oslo.
