FREEDOM AND SOCIOLOGY
Conference April 3rd, 2014

Social scientists frequently address questions that are important for our understanding of freedom. However, the link between central sociological debates and freedom is rarely made explicit. This conference focuses on three central themes in sociological research: class/stratification, gender and ethnicity, and encourages an international debate on how these issues relate to freedom in our current societies.
