About Sigbjørn Lilleeng –
.
.
Sigbjørn Lilleeng has worked as a comic book artist for 8 years, trying to tell somewhat personal stories through the medium of action comics. For the past few years he has focused on doing quality comics for kids. He has over 10 published complete graphic novels, including numerous illustrations in compilation books. He is the recipient of prestigious awards in his field, such as:
.
2006 – Bergen kommunes debutantpris
2007 – Sproingprisen for Nebelgrad Blues 3
2008 – Kulturdepartementets tegneseriepris for Nebelgrad Blues 4 – Eksossolo
2012 – Ordknappen 2012 for Apefjes

.
Sigbjørn Lilleeng’s main medium is pen and ink, and the exhibition amongst other things will display the progress in inking quality, from uncertain, rapid lines to more controlled and detailed, yet organic ink work. The show will focus on original comic pages, some illustrations and a few prints – Lilleeng’s style mostly entails science fiction or adventure/drama, but with a grounded and humane approach to the fantastic.
.
The exhibition will feature pages and illustrations both from published and upcoming work, including both finished work to drawings and sketches.
