The octonary, related to the octagon or two interlocking squares, is symbolic of regeneration; renewal; rebirth; transition. After the seven steps of initiation, the eighth is Paradise regained, and the eighth day created the new man of grace. June 12th, 2016 – a Sunday, the eighth day – is the inception date of Zhora, a replicant appearing in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982). Under the moniker Miss Salomé – after the biblical exotic dancer of Oscar Wilde’s seven veils – we “watch her take the pleasure from the serpent that once corrupted man”, who, in its various forms, is often known as “the adversary”. And, as C. G. Jung noted, “’the adversary’ is none other than ‘the other’ in me.” The numeral 8 is, by virtue of its shape, associated with the interlacing serpents of the caduceus, symbolizing the balancing out of opposing forces, as well as the double sigmoid line – everlasting, spiraling movement. “Adversary is an opportunity for change”, Zenyatta, a character in the video game Overwatch, muses upon heading into battle. Ultimate Fighting Championship, ‘The Octagon’ and the eight-sided cage design are registered trademarks of Zuffa, LLC. The octagon is the beginning of the transformation of the square (the terrestrial order) into the circle (the eternal order) and vice versa. The octonary, related to the octagon or two interlocking squares (the star of Lakshmi), is symbolic of regeneration; renewal; rebirth; transition. After the seven steps of initiation, the eighth is Paradise regained, and the eighth day (7+1, the octave and beginning anew) created the new man of grace. June 12th, 2016 – a Sunday, the eighth day – is the inception date of Zhora, a Nexus 6 in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982). “Talk about beauty and the beast, she’s both.” Under the moniker Miss Salomé – after the biblical exotic dancer of Oscar Wilde’s seven veils (the lynx’s numerical attribution, according to 777, is 7; the right ascension of the Lynx constellation is 8) – we “watch her take the pleasure from the serpent that once corrupted man”, who, in its various forms, is often known as “the adversary”. And, as C. G. Jung noted, “’the adversary’ is none other than ‘the other’ in me.” The numeral 8 is, by virtue of its shape, associated with the interlacing serpents of the caduceus (consult your local pharmacy), symbolizing the balancing out of opposing forces, as well as the double sigmoid line – everlasting, spiraling movement. “Adversary is an opportunity for change”, Zenyatta, a character in the video game Overwatch, muses upon heading into battle. The octonary, related to the octagon or two interlocking squares (the Ashtalakshmi), is symbolic of regeneration; renewal; rebirth; transition. After the seven steps of initiation, the eighth is Paradise regained, and the eighth day (7+1, the octave and beginning anew) created the new man (man as in man, woman and other) of grace. June 12th, 2016 – a Sunday, the eighth day – is the inception date of Zhora, a replicant appearing in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982) – ad infinitum.
