Your identity work is quite low-key, mysterious even. Are you reacting against the slickness of many corporate identities?
Yes. Quite often we think about what we don’t want to do, and what other people do. That is often a starting point. We definitely revel in the restraints in some of our work, playing with this idea that we could have really gone to town, but in fact we have just chosen to use two colours but on a beautiful material. Certainly we like to build up the complexities of things and play on people’s expectations.
