Arne Nordheims komponistpris ble opprettet av Kulturdepartementet 20. juni 2001 i anledning Arne Nordheims 70-års dag. Prisvinner utpekes av en jury med Arne Nordheim som leder og deles ut under Ultima. Det er duket for nok en prisvinner.
Arne Nordheim’s composers’ prize was founded by the Department of Culture on 20 June 2001 in conjunction with Arne Nordheim’s 70th birthday. The winner is chosen by a jury chaired by Nordheim himself, and is presented during the Ultima festival. This year’s concert features Oslo Sinfonietta, Maja Ratkje (vocals) and conductor Christian Eggen in a performance of Ratkje’s Concerto for Voice (moods IIIb), Nordheim’s Signaler, and a work by the as yet unannounced prize-winning composer.
