J. Michael Muro is a BAFTA nominated cinematographer and independent film director, he is known primarily for his steadicam work. In the 1990’s he was James Cameron’s steadicam operator of choice, working on the movies The Abyss, Terminator 2, True Lies and Titanic

-"If you get prickly over politically incorrect depictions of the homeless, though, you’d better skip it. The plot, such as it is, concerns a lethal, mysterious wine called Viper that melts the Brooklyn bums who drink it.

Characters include a psychotic Vietnam vet (Vic Noto) who rules a junkyard, his scuzzy kept woman (Nicole Potter), two relatively sympathetic young runaways (Mike Lackey and Mark Sferrazza), a repulsive necrophiliac (R.L. Ryan), the funny Mutt-and-Jeff team of Tony Darrow (later in GoodFellas) as a Mafioso and James Lorinz (Frankenhooker) as a doorman, and a brutal cop (Bill Chepil) who beats up a punk and vomits on said punk’s head.

Most of the cast gets melted in elaborate, truly disgusting special-effects sequences. Young director Jim Muro — only twenty when he started filming this — has the courage of whatever unclassifiable convictions he has."
