What is globalisation? When did the globalisation process begin? What kind of economic, political, ecological and cultural processes are at play?
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has initiated a series of translations of books which deal with various aspects of globalisation – the Mundus series, published by Pax Forlag. This seminar will introduce the third book in the series: Robert B. Marks’ book, The Origins of the Modern World.

The seminar is arranged by The Norwegian Non-Fiction Writers and Translators Association (NFF) in association with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), and is part of the MFA project Refleks – globalisation and national interest. It is the first of several seminars based on the Mundus series – a cooperation project between the MFA and the Pax Publishing House aimed at making international literature on globalisation issues available to a broad Norwegian audience.
