The Insect Guide (UK)

INSECT GUIDE is Su Sutton and Stan Howells who have been writing music together for the past 3 years. The debut album “6ft in Love” was released to critical acclaim in both the national and regional press with UNCUT giving it 4 stars and naming it as ‘debut album of the month’. Further album press was received in Drowned in Sound, Subba-Cultcha and Leeds Guide amongst many others There was play on Steve Lamacq’s 6 Music Show particularly “Liline” and the cover of Dinosaur Jrs’ Freak Scene which has also been reviewed in the NME.

The first single off the album was released in March this year and distributed, like the album, through Cargo. This consists of 2 of our album tracks remixed by Sonic Boom (Spacemen3 and Spectrum).

The Insect Guide’s live show incorporates projections and visuals to take the audience on a ‘dark audio/visual experience’. The live show has been taken to new heights supporting MAPS, Ulrich Schnauss, Sonic Boom, Airiel, Wild Beasts and The Lionheart Brothers amongst others. Having just returned from a mini-tour of the US at the end of March to promote the debut album and subsequent single, European dates are imminent.
