Visual artist Andreas Emenius defines his work as content driven visual landscapes, characterized by precision in thought and an untiring interest in the humane, in popular culture, in science, and where it’s all heading.
After graduating in 1999 from Central Saint Martins College of art And Design, London, Andreas Emenius roamed the better end of the graphic design world for some time, working with acclaimed graphic designer Neville Brody in Paris and moving on to art direct for Kenzo, Adidas, and Nike.
As the years go by he is navigating more freely as a visual artist within an interdisciplinary field, combining his knowledge of design, direction and art, and works on artistic projects and commercial commissions alike.
His work has been featured in magazines such as
Dazed&Confused, Nylon, Wonderland, and exhibited in Paris, Stockholm, Copenhagen, London, Milano, and Zurich.
In 2007 he began a collaboration wth designer/artist Henrik Vibskov in ‘The Fringe Projects’ (www.vibskovemenius.com). They are currently working on a solo exhibition at Zeeuws Museum in Holland, which opens 28th February 2009.
Andreas Emenius was born and grew up in a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, in 1973. He has since lived and worked in London, New York, Paris, and is now based in Copenhagen.
