The history of their discovery. Optical, Radio, Quasars, Herbig-Haro Objects and disks around young stars and then disks around dying binary stars. This leads to the conclusion that they all have accretion disks and that the ejection speeds of the jets are about the same as the speeds at the inner edge of the accretion disks. It will be explained how swirling disks make magnetically dominated jets with this property.
