Om klassene/workshops:
Release based classes that place equal emphasis on both floor and standing work. Consideration is given to physical alignment, breath and body weight which leads to an efficient use of the body through space. Jamie’s class has been equally informed by his initial Limon based training at LABAN, followed by an exploration of release techniques adopted by European and North American practioners.
Workshops will focus on generating new ways of creating, manipulating and presenting material. Using a range of different tasks and stimuli, participants will be guided and encouraged to explore ways of expanding and developing their personal dance vocabulary. Each session will have a different focus, using both practice and discussion to place an emphasis on considering process rather than formalizing product.
