Fjoråret var særdeles hektisk for DDMMYYYY, både med utgivelse av kritikeryndlingen “Black Square” og seksti intense dager på landeveien i USA sammen med kjendiser som Don Caballero, sBACH og These Arms Are Snakes. I år kom de med en aldri så liten silkebekledd souvenir – “The Blue Screen Of Death and Journey to and Escape from the Fortress of the Fluffy Love Cloud” (Reissue 12" og 7" togethe…r på Limited Edition Silkscreened Package, Itchy Roof Records).
Bortsett fra å sørge for at platetallerken alltid har ferskvare på spinneren, bandet har utgitt åtte skiver og flere singler, er reising og liveshow DDMMYYYYs store pasjon. De har krysset spor med kollegaer som Dan Deacon, Melt-Banana, The Blood Brothers, The Chinese Stars, The Yardbirds, Kid Koala, The Death Set, Diplo, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, The Mae Shi, Juiceboxxx, Holy Fuck, High Places, Fucked Up etc.
Tidligere har canadierne turnèrt med Crystal Castles (2008), Japanther (2007) og Video Hippos (2007). Bandet var headlinere på festivaler som Electric Eclectics (Meaford, Ontario), Beats and Culture Festival (Toronto), Osheaga Festival, Summerworks Festival, Whartscape 2009. I 2007 løp de rundt på scena på Virgin Festival Björk, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers og Blonde Redhead.
I sommer opptrådde DDMMYYYY på Yonge-Dundas Square sammen med selveste Iggy Pop.
Gruppa er kjent for notorisk gjestespilling, uoffisielt som offisielt, på South by South West Music Festival i Austin Texas, bare i år har de hatt hele 18 show, bl.a med Andrew W.K., Maps and Atlases +
Et mektig liveband som misbruker et mangfold av instrumenter og skaper artistisk bevegelse og sirkus-kaos.
