U.S. BOMBS
U.S. Bombs are an American punk rock band, formed in 1993. U.S. Bombs consist of vocalist Duane Peters, guitarists Jonny Wickersham and Kerry Martinez, bass guitarist Wade Walston and drummer Chip Hanna. The group released its first album in 1996, a self-titled four-track EP. Their first full-length album, Put Strength in the Final Blow, was followed by Garibaldi Guard! (A…pr. 1996). Before the release of the album Back at the Laundromat, Chuck Briggs left the band. Youth Brigade member Jonny Wickersham took his place.
They have appeared on Premium Blend as the stage band during Jim Breuer’s hosting stint, and contributed a track from Back at the Laundromat, “Yer Country”, to the soundtrack for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4.
In the second half of 2006, U.S. Bombs toured intensively through Brazil, playing in the Vans ZonaPunk Tour (The brazilian version of the Warped Tour), and released their latest album We Are The Problem, in Brazil. As of 2010, the U.S. Bombs have been working on a new album, which is due for release in 2010.
THE GRIT
THE GRIT are ready to unleash “Straight out the Alley,” their eagerly awaited new studio album via the world’s most infamous record label ‘People Like You Records.‘ For the last 2 years the band have relentlessly toured their previous album, ‘Shall We Dine?’, from the prestigious festival stages [including Reading and Glastonbury] to the deadliest snake pit venues of England, Germany and beyond. They now intend to take their personal brand of “Punk ‘n’ Fuck ‘n’ Roll” to a new level, armed with a sack full of fresh material but the same ever-ready ballsy determination that has seen their reputation spread like a contagious disease that audiences have all been eager to contract. Prior to the release, THE GRIT are to take a pre-emptive swoop through the UK and Europe, inevitably doing what they have become notorious for; upstaging the big names and leaving all in their wake with the knowledge that they have witnessed something special. This string of dates will include tours with The Generators, Goldblade and The Aggrolites, and also see them share the stage with Rancid in their hometown, Newcastle. Rather than follow the conventional tactic of releasing a single prior to the album, THE GRIT are doing things a little differently; teaming up with Big Cheese Magazine and releasing their single, plus album track and 2 live tracks as a freebie on the front cover of the issue due out april 22nd. With this, and another BBC Radio 1 session with mike davies being recorded on April 2nd and aired in the weeks to follow, the album will have every chance of achieving the impact it is more than capable of. Then come April 9th, “Straight out the Alley” hits the shelves, with 12 tracks of their trademark, genre splicing sound, it cruises seamlessly through Punk, Ska, Rockabilly, Psychobilly and even Country. In many ways more ambitious than the previous album, it features a host of guest musicians, bringing Mandolin, Ukulele and Brass to the fore, whilst still maintaining the same upbeat punk ‘n’ roll sound throughout. Well, would you expect anything less? Then it’s back to where this band feels most at home – on the road. Kicking off the album release tour in May 2009, THE GRIT look forward to tearing up stages in the UK and Europe as well as making the most of the summer Festival circuit. And with plans for Russia, Japan and the USA in the pipeline, 2009 should be busiest and best for THE GRIT so far. THE GRIT are not just another punk rock band. Those that have witnessed their live show have experienced that. A fact set to be reinforced in concrete once their “Straight out the Alley” is let off the leash.

Er du ute etter en koseaften med rødvin og dempet musikk kan du bare glemme denne kvelden! The Mormones er en punk-rock duo med snedige stuntkombinasjoner , uten å være fpor komplekse og ubegripelige. Den ene hamrer løs på et stakkars minimalistisk trommesett og korer, den andre spiller fuzzbass og hyler diabolsk.
Nerven i The Mormones er det makeløse og energikrevende samspillet som eksplosivt fyller ørene. De kjører motorveien til helvete og har ikke vikeplikt for en eneste desibel.

Når øset er kanalisert på en balansert måte, blir det også lettere å skimte både styrkene og svakhetene ved Mormones-konseptet. Deres kortspilte traktorblues – 14 spor gjøres unna på 32 minutter – er rik på vilje, rik på rockforståelse og rik på selvbevissthet på en «Ass Cobra»/Turboneger-måte…”
