Vinnie Who started 2010 as a completely unknown Danish band, and return to Norway in November with an impressive list of achievements to their name. This year alone they’ve played by:Larm, Popkomm (Germany), SPOT (Denmark), Hove, Øya, Numusic and EKKO festivals and released their debut album ‘Then I Met You’ in Denmark in August to great reviews and no less than the front cover of arguably Scandinavia’s best music magazine Sound…venue. Their first two singles ‘What You Got Is Mine’ and ‘Remedy’ have both been A-listed for months on end on Danish P3. In addition, Vinnie Who were nominated as Best Danish Artist for the MTV European Music Awards.

Musically, the band describe themselves as neo-disco but might be best described as an updated version of Prince or Michael Jackson produced by LCD Soundsystem. If you like Casiokids, Datarock, Familjen, Robyn, The New Wine, The Rapture or the aforementioned James Murphy then you’ll surely love this band.

‘Then I Met You’ will be released in Norway early in 2011.

Har en indiekid og en hiphoper fra Fredrikstad blitt Norges nye electroyndlinger? Mulig, men en ting er ganske sikkert: de er mest sannsynlig den mest lekne electroduoen en finner her til lands, med en modda Nintendo DS som fast inventar i lineupen, og duellerende gitar og keyboardsoloer. I tillegg til det har de en bunke med låter som er som skapt for sommer og svette dansegulv. Låter som sender tankene til Ratatat, MSTRKRFT, Justice og Daft Punk, men med en lett gjenkjennelig signatur. MTMM har til nå gjort seg mest kjent med sine remixer – bl.a. Hiawata!, Harrys Gym, Safariari, Hidden Cat (USA), Electrica Miami (Mexico) – og har selvfølgelig en hel del nye remixer som venter på å komme ut i dagslys – Casiokids, Montée, Pelbo, Sidechains (Spania). Men i tillegg til dette så jobber de hardt med sitt debutalbum, som etter planen skal komme til høsten.
