Forbundet Frie Fotografer og Fotogalleriet har gleden av å invitere til den årlige Vårutstillingen 2011 som finner sted på Fotogalleriet fra 18. mars til 15. april 2011.
Utstillingsåpningen sammenfaller med annonseringen av Fotokunstprisen fra BKH – Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond, som deles ut til den kunstneren som deltar på Vårutstillingen med det verk som ansees som mest betydningsfullt. Fotokunstprisen som ble etablert i 2010 pålyder 100.000 NOK og er dermed en av de største kunstprisene som deles ut i Norge. Prisvinneren annonseres på åpningen av utstillingen, torsdag 17. mars kl 19.00 og deles ut av Professor Viggo Hagstrøm, styreleder i Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond.

Vårutstillingen ble etablert i 1976, og er en juryert gruppeutstilling som viser samtidige tendenser i kamerabasert kunst. Juryen velger ut deltakende kunstnere basert på åpen innsending. Juryen
er valgt av Forbundet Frie Fotografers generalforsamling og i 2011 består den av Camilla Sune, Synne Tollerud Bull og Behzad Farazollahi. Camilla Sune er fotograf, basert i Oslo. Synne Tollerud Bull er en del av kunstnerduoen Bull.Miletic som bor og arbeider i Oslo. Behzad Farazollahi driver Galleri Melk sammen med Bjarne Bare. Han arbeider også som kunstner og musiker og bor i Oslo.

Deltakende kunstnere på Vårutstillingen 2011 er: Morten Andenæs (født 1979 i Oslo, bor og arbeider i Oslo), Mattias Härenstam (født 1971 i Gøteborg, Sverige, bor og arbeider i Oslo og Berlin), Line Bøhmer Løkken (født 1970 i Vågå, bor og arbeider i Oslo), Dag Nordbrenden (født 1971 i Oslo, bor og arbeider i Oslo), Ulla Schildt (født i 1971 i Uleåborg, Finland, bor og arbeider i Oslo), Carrie Schneider (født 1979 i Chicago, USA bor og arbeider i Chicago og New York, USA), Morten Torgersrud (født 1971 i Trondheim, bor og arbeider i Kirkenes) og Verena Winkelmann (født 1973 i Levanger, bor og arbeider i Oslo).

*ANNUAL SPRING EXHIBITION / VÅRUTSTILLINGEN 2011

Forbundet Frie Fotografer and Fotogalleriet are pleased to announce its Annual Spring Exhibition (Vårutstillingen) taking place at Fotogalleriet from 18 March until 15 April 2011.
The exhibition coincides with the awarding of the Art Photography Prize by BKH – Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond (The Relief Fund for Visual Artists) to an artist participating in the Spring Exhibition. Established in 2010 and with an award sum of 100.000 NOK, it is one of the most endowed national art prizes granted to an artist who exhibits in Norway. The recipient of the award will be announced at the exhibition opening on Thursday, 17 March at 19.00h and will be handed out by Professor Viggo Hagstrøm, chairman of the Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond.*

The Annual Spring Exhibition was established by Forbundet Frie Fotografer in 1976 and is a juried exhibition showcasing current tendencies in camera-based art. The jury selecting the participating artists is appointed by the members of the Forbundet Frie Fotografer and in 2011 consists of Camilla Sune, Synne Tollerud Bull and Behzad Farazollahi. Camilla Sune is a photographer based in Oslo. Synne Tollerud Bull is part of the artist-duo Bull.Miletic who live and work together in Oslo. Behzad Farazollahi runs Galleri Melk together with Bjarne Bare and also works as an artist and musician. He lives and works in Oslo.
