During the final days of the San Francisco-based folky/indie rock band Port O’Brien (City Slang), lead singer Van Pierszalowski started spending most of his free time in Oslo.

Throughout the last year, he has bounced back and forth between Brooklyn, California, Alaska, and Norway writing the songs for what would provide the basis for his new band; Waters.

Joined by two Oslo-based musicians, Nikolai Haukeland and Sigmund Nilsen, the group will soon be flying to Dallas, Texas to record their first album with famed producer John Congleton.
