Tonight: Derek Goodreid





Paper Memory is the musical journey of Derek Goodreid from his life in Fremantle, Australia to Oslo, Norway. His songs are narratives of pursuing a long distance relationship with his norwegian wife and finding faith along the way. Mixed with these personal songs are also fictional tales of sailors, murderers, thieves and a boastful escape artist. Musically he is inspired by Bon Iver, Devendra Banhart and Iron & Wine. The night, filled with spiritual yearnings and romantic songs, from hushed whispered tones to energetic folk ramblings gives you the impression that this Australian songwriter is on a musical and existential journey and you are more than welcome to come along for the ride on 8th of June at gallery ‘Pan’ together with special guest of the evening- Tom Griffin.
