Andy White, Andrea Rydin Berge og Guro von Germeten in concert!

During the summer of 2010 legendary singer-songwriter Andy White was teaching at UK Songwriting Festival between touring the world and promoting his first book the 21st Century Troubadour. Visiting from the cold, cold north where to young Norwegian musicians, Andrea Rydin Berge and Guro von Germeten: one carrying a brand new auto- harp and the other bringing with her a little red accordion. After an intense and blooming week of songwriting the three became close friends and the two girls even adopted Andy as their own personal Irish mentor. One year later, Andy is now producing Andreas debut album in London/Oslo and the three of them are once again united for a special evening of music, love, laughter, heartbeats (and some tears..) at Månefisken!

Andy White
Singer-songwriter Andy White carries a 12-string guitar under his arm and wears his particular brand of charm on his sleeve. With the political edge of Billy Bragg, the romance of David Gray and the Celtic lyricism of the Waterboys, Andy is a fully paid up ‘21st Century Troubadour. Belfast born and raised, White has earned a global following for blending folk and pop stylings with a poet’s sensibility. Working with the great names of Irish music – Sinead O’Connor, Van Morrison – and writing with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Neil and Tim Finn, Andy has won Ireland’s top songwriting awards and toured the world many times over.

Andrea Rydin Berge
Delivers her stories on a golden plate with humour, beauty, love and passion. It’s a beautiful dish made of a distinctive, clear voice and some jazzy twanging chords played on the piano. Sometimes the music is even served with a heavenly sauce from the strum of an Autoharp. The Norwegian singer/songwriter is indeed a special artist and her concerts have been well received by the audience both in Norway, Denmark, Germany and England. Andrea is releasing her first album produced by Andy White in the fall of 2011.

Guro von Germeten
Described as Kaizer Orchestras creepy little sister, a female Tom Waits, Kurt Weill’s great grandchild, Kate Bush on Piaf- pills or the woman that brings a blush to Stephen King face: the Norwegian singer Guro von Germeten, and her little red accordion, stands out as delightfully burlesque with melodic boldness and French Second World War-ambiance. Her music never lacks passion, nor decadence, and her classically trained «crying cat in the night-voice» brings you every song, as was it her last in life; screaming, whispering or just by sounding extremely beautifully, all with a twist of Balkan beats, Circus jazz and a touch of Film noir.
