Turboweekend is a three piece band out of Copenhagen, Denmark, consisting of Silas Bjerregaard (Vocals), Martin Petersen (Drums), and Morten Køie (Bass).
Their second album Ghost Of A Chance from 2009 lifted them from underground prospects to major venue headliners in their native Denmark, and the hit single Trouble Is secured international awareness with the aid of remixes by Tiësto and Joke…r. In June they signed with Supervision Management and thereby joined roster with acts like Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Cheifs, and Crystal Castles..

October saw the band nominated as Best Danish Act for the MTV Europe Awards 2010, and November 10th they released a free downloadable 5 track ep featuring Casper Clausen of Efterklang, Ty Bulmer of New Young Pony Club and Coco Malaika of Quadron, encouraging fans to remix songs, redesign artwork and record their own music videos as an attempt to ”shake the bag” before the next album.

The three members grew up together in the small town of Fredensborg and formed their first band together in 1996, some wild years later in 2006, they formed Turboweekend as a playground project, and only 4 years after the playground has become fulltime work in the most rewarding sense of the word. The band is currently writing material for their third album and preparing a European spring tour beginning March 2011.
